recipe books
My grandparents were from Sutton (Arther Maurice Midgley and Sarah Jane nee Ferguson ) . Grandma had some cookery books that had been sold to raise funds for the Baptist Chaple ,about the year 1918 or 20, folk had sent in their best recipes , and there were some very good ones !
Sad to say , the books were lost in a flood several years ago , and I have been unable to replace them . Does anyone have coppies that I might borrow or buy ? I realy do miss their good , sencible , thrifty dishes .
