Bridge Road
In the photo of Bridge Road, I believe the second door from the left is No 7. Go upwards from the door to the skylight and that is where the (not so famous!) Flamingos were started. An early 60's rock band consisting of my late good school friend Glyn Whiteoak and myself. Later my brother Ray on vocals and then drums, later still Jeff Birtley on rhythm guitar. Happy days!

Just out of interest Maurice, does any sound recordings or footage of The Flamingos exist?
I've just visited the relevant page in the gallery and re-read the 'potted history' of the band "The Flamingos c1959 & c1960". The photographs are awesome, it must have been a terrific experience you guys had back then ,-)
