McMillan Cancer Care
Hi All
As most of you may know 2013 was very tough for our family.
My wife Dianne was diagnosed with breast cancer in the January and took on an almighty battle of her own fighting this terrible disease.
During this battle we were fortunate enough to have the help and support of Macmillan Cancer Support - so now it's time to give something back.
2014 now sees us all looking forward, onwards and upwards and what better tribute could I pay to my wife other than being as fearless as her!
So this June I intend to take part in Total Warrior - something (when I weighed 23 stone) I would never have considered! For those of you who don't know what Total Warrior is, this is a 10k obstacle race! 25 to 30 punishing obstacles await me such as the Human BBQ, Ball Breaker, Worm Muncher and Peaks of Pain to name but a few!
Even though I'm sure Dianne would love to join me on this course (Dianne will be doing race for Life again this year) someone has to look after the kids! Not to worry I am not doing it on my own Im in a mixed team of chums from ITV Calendar and Jai Muay Thai (based at Eastburn Fitness Centre).
Please dig deep and give generously - one in three of us will get cancer and it's the toughest thing most of us will ever face and MacMillan are great and gave us lots of fantastic advice and support.
