SKIPTON PROPERTIES (need I say more?)
Just read in this week's Craven Herald that SKIPTON PROPERTIES is proposing to build 20 affordable homes on a greenfield site next to Acre Mil, Cowling and will be holding an exhibition of their proposals at the old Villlage Hall, Cowling, on Tuesday, 21 September 2010, between 2pm and 7pm. Representatives from the Company and the Council's Housing Department will be in attendance to answer questions.
I know strictly speaking this is a Cowling issue, but more building in Cowling does have an impact on Sutton and surrounding villages as we all share the same local amenities (schools, doctor's, extra traffic etc), so I am posting this in case anyone is interested in going along, or maybe you know someone in Cowling who may wish to go along but doesn't know about it!

Could this be Mr Verity's reason for finally speaking up for himself last week in the Craven Herald ref the email scandal - he must be after public support - how many planning applications on greenfield can one Company put in at one time - Greenfield at Cowling, Greenfield at Elsie Croft, Greenfield at Glusburn - all coming up - they must reckon they can get a Yes on one of them. If they can afford to build on three greenfield sites, how come they didn't have enough money to finish the village hall at Cowling? Stinks doesn't it?!?!?!?! Come on people power - fight this menace to our Craven Countryside. |
