An apology.
I thought it important to make an apology to anyone who has felt uncomfortable with my presence at recent council meetings. I am the seriously overweight slow moving mammal with very short hair. I was quite deliberately Loud, outlandish, interruptive and at times rude. I was in fact " playing" the part of agitator! I do believe I may have been succesful in my role to some extent. But I am becoming aware that some people have been left with only that perception of me. I can understand that some may see me as a " trouble maker" I would like to assure people I am not at all. Anyone who knows me personally will realise there is a whole different sensible rational caring side to me. I can also understand how many might think " who does he think he is?" having only arrived in Sutton two months ago and straight away getting deeply involved. But this did effect me too. I have only been trying to help. I hope in time I can learn to fit in with your kind help and community warmth. |

after meeting you for the first time on wednesday and talking for well over an hour
i can honestly say you are a different person to the one who attends all the meetings
A great character to know i reckon
A great addition to the village of sutton. get to know basil on a personal level and i reckon you will find a great chap well worth knowing
