Clarksons of Kildwick
Hi All,
I am tracing the family of my Great Great Great Grandfather Edward Cowling Clarkson born in Kildwick in the late 1700's. He married Ann Wood whose parents were Robert Wood and Hannah Bayne.
Can anyone help me with census or general information on the family?
Any help for further research would be greatly appreciated.

I have various Census indexes for the area, and have found your Clarksons and the Wood family on some of them.
If you would like to email me I could let you have them, permission to the webmaster to let Samantha have my email address.
Also found the burial of Edward & Ann Clarkson, there buried at Silsden, and there should be a gravestone for them.

I wonder if you could tell me where I could obtain copies of parish registers for Kildwick parish chuch for the period aprox 1716 to 1828. I have been to skipton libarary and studied the early registers there but I am informed that the later ones are kept at Northallerton and it is difficult for me to travel there.
I am descended from John Stow and Ellen Emmott who were buried in St Andrews Church Kildwick in 1841 and 1844 through thier son Stephen Stow who married Ellen Parkinson on 12/07/1819. Thier son John was also baptised at Kildwick aprox 01/06/1828 and I need to confirm this.
I find this website very informative and thank you very much for your contributions.

I have indexed the Kildwick registers, and am willing to search for your family names, I have had a quick look and there is Stows listed, the John you mention was born 1.6.1828 at Marsden and baptised 7.6.1835 at Kildwick, parents are Stephen & Ellen Stow of Marsden a Husbandman.
