Hargreaves family
I have noted on your site a photograph of the Hargreaves family of Wood Top Farm. I would be interested to know if the James Hargreaves on the photograph was married to an Edith Drake of Glusburn, as if this is so then he would be my great-grandfather! I would appreciate your help in finding this out from the owner of the photograph if this is possible although I appreciate this is not really what your website is about.

I don't think this is the James Hargreaves you are looking for but James is the brother I know least about. My only reservation is that I have an Elsie Mitchell mentioned in a document relating to our James and I don't know who she is. If she is part of your family there might be a connection. |

Many thanks for replying. Elsie Mitchell was my grandmother and was the daughter of James Hargreaves, so it is the correct James! This is the first time I have ever seen a picture of him. Do you have any other photos or information? |
