Green Lane appeal/ CDC planning meeting tomorrow
A reminder from Patrick Hargreaves:
On Monday 9th March at 1.30pm Craven District Council Planning Committee will discuss the Green Lane/Black Abbey Lane Planning Application from November, which is the subject of a new Appeal.
The Committee's reasons for refusal will be re-examined. It will be a crucial meeting, and it's important that as many as possible of those who have concerns about the Green Lane development and recent goings-on are there.

On Monday 9 March at 1.30pm Craven District Council Planning Committee will be asked to act on the Green Lane Planning Application (9016), including matters relating to the new Appeal, and indirectly the Application by the Appellant to The High Court. The result is likely to be a severe weakening of the firm decision of refusal taken twice by the Planning Committee.
Following a review/report which I understand is being compiled within CDC, it may be that the reasons for refusal by Planning Committee in November (Application 9016) which through another procedural error, or worse deliberately was never officially determined, will be re-examined and massively watered down.
This is another matter of grave concern to residents and Craven District Council Tax payers, who now must now be fearing the worst as to what's going on.
Members of the public can attend the Meeting on Monday. Which will be at Granville St., Skipton. It could well hold a siginficant development of real concern to many.

Just a quick update, news has emerged that the second Appeal on Green Lane is to be held in abeyance and that the Planning Inspectorate is going to defend the High Court challenge on the first Appeal. There is no known date for that yet.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------just looked up Abeyance on line (see above) is the appeal being contested in court on point 1 or 2 or both ?

Hi Graham, I think here "held in abeyance" means its on hold until the High Court challenge on the 1st appeal has decided, it just buys us a bit more time. You have to wonder though that if the Planning Inspectorate win in the High Court, would the 2nd appeal be withdrawn....? We live in hope. |
