The yellow growth on the church school!
Is anyone else just a little disappionted with the look of the new extention on the church school? While I am all for the new building addition, I was horrified to see that they have chosen not only new reformed yellow bricks but they are completly a different shape and size to the original stone work! Is it just me making a bit of a fuss? |

The approved Planning Application (66/2008/9252) states:
"The extension is to be constructed from natural stone to match the existing buildings."
If this isn't the case then you've every right to be horrified!

It may say "to match existing buildings" but does it state which buildings? It matches "beautifully" with the new Harley's Estate & I've never seen a stone as natural as what they are built from. |

I had a look tonight driving home from work and I thought it looked all right, how the school would have looked when the last extension was built.

It would be better to knock the whole school down then rebuild it with yellow bricks then it looks the same as the estate no but children would miss their education |
