Bairstows/Hartleys Mill Help please
Hello,
I wondered if you can help please, I am looking for information if anyone knows of anyone, or has had family that has worked for the village mill, or had an injury/claim against them, in around 1930's to when it closed down.
I am trying to trace the company who would of insured the Mill at that time, any information will be a massive help please.

Hi Nikki
My partner Alan Whitaker used to work at Bairstows in the late 60's. He has tried without success to find their insurers. He has a serious hearing defect caused by the noise in the mill. Due to no hearing protection. Good luck in your search & if you find out would you let us know. I think there is probably many people in the area that would also like to know. Please ring us if you think we could be of any help.

A fairly thorough set of records are extant for Bairstow's & are held by the WYAS Bradford. Not sure if they are as recent as the 1960's but it might be worth a go.
