In 1850 what is now called Park Lane was just a lane to access Salt Pie Farm.
Park View was built in the late 1800s
The park was opened in 1912 all the other roads in Sutton with the suffix park, came afterward.
The triangle of land between North st, Bridge rd. and Main st was called The Sand Park.it was used by stonemasons to dress the stones used in the building of various sections of Bairstow’s new mill between 1888 and 1930, tided up it gave us an all-weather pitch for all occasions.
