Proposed development off Holme Lane
A leaflet is circulating with details of Snell Developments Ltd's proposals for the development of land to the west of Holme Lane for circa 32 dwellings.
This outline application will seek approval for the principle of development along with a single vehicular access point from Holme Road.

Is this on The Dog Field? More houses mean more cars more congestion at the top of Holme Lane into Crosshills more accidents waiting to happen. It feels like we are banging our heads on a brick wall keep objecting to more houses being built and up pops more planning applications The council obviously do not care about their constituents views or the safety of their children. We will cease to be a village soon. I am sooo annoyed, everything is about profit, nothing about enviromental sustainability or safety, if all this building goes ahead we can look forward to more flooding, more congestion on the roads and probably more local crime.

Looking at the map I think it is Thompson's field. This is the field that many objected to development on a few years ago, it currently has sheep in it and red signs throughout warning villagers to stay off the private land. It's opposite Vujon.
I agree with all your points and just hope that enough people continue to object to these developments and don't get worn into submission! |

This site has been turned down so many time the last by HM Inspector. The developer's ruse presumably is a mini 'green wedge' between Shielings Estate and Holme Beck. This latest proposal is certainly TEW 'Thin Edge Wedge'. The roads, schools, Medical Centre and sewage infrastructure cannot cope as it is so more houses, homes, adults, children, cars will only add to our daily problems. We must work as a team to block this once and for all. Brian Sanderson |

Perhaps we need to have a village meeting strength in numbers to see what is the best way to proceed. |

A good idea, Elaine. I can't do much at the moment as my mum is very ill and I'm driving two to three hours in order to spend a couple of hours with her each day. That doesn't leave time for anything else right now, but a meeting to see what's the best way to proceed would certainly get my support. |

Sorry, I think I missed the consultation period for this. Entirely my fault, I must try to remember to look on here more often! Thank you for updating the website, you do a stirling job.
On the planning website it now says 'Delegated'. Does this mean it will go to another commitee? Is it too late to write an objection? |
