Sutton Against Housing Development post
Cait Stringer has posted the following on the "Sutton Against Housing Development" Facebook page...
"I live beside Holme Beck... just to say that I have seen a song thrush four times in two days, which is a "red list" bird (Red is the highest conservation priority, with species needing urgent action. Amber is the next most critical group, followed by green according to the RSPCA.) I have also had three different reports of sightings of an otter near Eastburn bridge.
I hope that if there is further talk of "riverside landscaping" with any proposed developments alongside the beck, the fact that there are protected species there will be mentioned in planning objections..."
