Old 1850's Map wanted
Hi - does anyone have a copy of the Sutton/Glusburn 1850's map (or earlier?) which should be an extension of my original Cowling copy - willing to swap scans. Thanks. |

I have a copy if you want to give me your email address. The 1st edition 6inch OS for Sutton was surveyed in 1849 & published in 1853

Thanks to both of you - The 1853 Sutton map has the missing link I am looking for.
Wonder what will happen to the mapping system when the boundaries are altered in 2014? Brush Farm, Summerseat and New Hall etc. are all moving into Cowling!
We will be pleased to have them- but not too keen on our ancient old farms on the hill top moving into Lothersdale Paris- around 16 dwellings in total!
