Latest Y.P.F. photos.
Thanks to Joyce and Denis for the photos. Some of the names need adjusting so I will attempt to do so:- Photo 1. (from the top). Margaret Naylor, not Maureen. Next to her is Brian Shearer. Photo 5:- Once again it is Margaret Naylor, not Maureen. Definitely it is Shiela Laycock. The two lads on the end are Peter Garnet and George Morrison not Neal Palfreman and ?. Photo 7:- Not Betty Monkhouse but Christine Briggs. Photo 9:- End left standing is Linda Smith. Pauline is Pauline Bond. Front left is Edward Emmerson front right could be Ann Longden. Photo 10:- Next to Brenda Holmes is Ronnie Clough's sister. Front row left is Ann Dickinson not Edith Moseley. I think that the small face in front of Brenda is Joyce Reddiough and the girl next to Elma could be her friend from college who used to try to sing "Blue moon" but was tone deaf. (Sorry but I cannot remember her name. I think that the ? on the front row next to Shiela Bancroft could be Irene Martin. Can someone please verify these before Paul is asked to alter them. Thanks. |

Hi folks I agree with Alan that it is 'Margaret' Naylor not Maureen and the change from Betty Monkhouse to Christine Briggs photo 3 - I think the missing name of the lady between Peter and Sheila is Rita Overend. I am still squinting at the rest..cheers |

Sorry Brenda. Photo 3 is of a group who are older than Rita Overend. She is younger than you and I and if you study Patrick Hill and Peter Boothman, they were two of the youngest in that photo. I think that the girl you refer to and the other one on the front row who is unnamed are friends who were maybe visiting, ie. "Off cummed uns". Thanks for trying, keep looking, maybe we shall manage to get there eventually before the lights go out. |

Any former YPF members that attended Easter Camp at Winton and watched the "Lambing Live" short-series on BBC 2 last week might not be aware that Donald Marston, the father of Andrew, is the son of Jack and Doris Marston, whose house is in the middle of Winton and who looked after the Baptist Church in the village. They were known to most of us and Donald was a lad of about the same age as myself. His looks haven't changed. |
