Gary, Thanks for making comment re Donald's passing. I, like many ex Suttoners, check the columns of the Keighley news each week. Unfortunately they are often too late to react to. This entry at least came in good time to allow for some reaction.

I too would like to pass on my sympathy to the family of Donald. I was brought up in Eastfield Place and remember Donald very well. As a child i often used to visit the house and have fond memories of his mother working from home doing piece work i never knew what she was looking for in the material but i found it fasciniting, especially when i got juice and a biscuit. Even after leaving the village in 1982 to move to the Isle of Man Donald always made time to speak to me when i was visiting my mother who still lives in Eastfield Place. R.I.P Donald xx |

on behalf of Joan & the late Barry McVay we offer our condolences to the Palfreyman family. Donald & my father Barry were very good mates and members of the Crosshills Con Club in the 60's before we emmigrated to Oz and we lived 2 doors down in Eastfield Place from the family. RIP Donald. |
