I believe it was hit by a car on Friday night. On the grapevine I heard that the driver "ran off" so don't think they were injured. I don't know anything else I'm afraid, hopefully someone else will be able to give you more details! |

Thanks for the update Jenny, if I find out anything further I'll post details here. Very sad to see the state of the wall (the section near the boating lake by the Baptist Church for those who haven't seen it), especially so near to the centenary.

I still haven't heard anything official, but gather that the car that crashed was being pursued by the police and the driver was subsequently apprehended. |
