5.25" floppy disk
As background reading for a job I'm doing, I've been sent a copy of a rather old (as these things go) textbook. Said book comes with some example software... on a set of 5.25" floppy disks.
I think the last machine I had that could read such things died and went to the Great Bit Bin In The Sky maybe 10 years ago.
Would anyone reading this, in Sutton or within sensible driving distance of it:
- Still have something that can read 5.25" disks - Be willing to copy the disks either onto CD, or to mail them to me ?
I appreciate that even if the hardware is available, the media themselves may have deteriorated beyond use. I have to reason to believe that the disks contain anything other than what they claim - supporting software from a text on a mathematical concept called "fuzzy cognitive maps" - and certainly nothing illegal.
Thanks in hope :-) |
