Overton family history

Dear Paul
I am researching my Overton family who came from the Sutton-in-Craven area. My grandmother Grace Overton lived at the Star and Garter farm.
I am most interested in finding out as much as possible about the family. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be most welcome.
I met several of my Great Aunts when I was a child.
