Snow and school.
Has the snow caused the schools to close? Do they still allow the youngsters to have slides in the school playground or is it classed as too dangerous?
The boys' playground at the end away from the beck had just enough slope to allow a few paces of running before being able to launch into quite a decent length of slide. Even the headmaster Mr. William Walker used to join in. Are the playgrounds still in use as such or have they been made into car parks?
