New planning application for 49 Dwellings
im sorry i know this is a web site for sutton in craven but i have just recieved a letter from craven district council stating that a planning application has been put in for 49 new homes on land at Green lane in Glusburn(this has been rejected 3 times in the past) this will have a big impact on the village of Glusburn as well as neighbouring villages like crosshills and sutton. if this is Granted it will have a knock on effect on plans for the village of sutton. if any villagers are interested details can be found at the following web site www.planning.cravendc.gov.uk/fastweb and enter either application number 32/2011/11429 or Green Lane i would be interested to get some replys as to what people actually think about all the new housing developments in our villages especially the ones in Sutton thanks for reading this regards Graham

To Graham, In two weeks you have had no reply. Apathy, that's why builders get their own way. To everybody --Yes I know it is about Glusburn but it affects everybody. |

hi j banks yes thanks for the reply, did you see this weeks craven hearald with the developers points of view? i personally think this one is too close to call the local parish council are against it also the public are against it. it would radically alter the village of Glusburn and the decision will be down to a planning inspector who probably lives somewhere down south. the local housing survey for our village found that we only need about a 100 houses in the next 5 years. The coalition are introducing the localism bill in may which lets locals decide things in their own villages, will be interesting to see the result of this proposed development im affraid sutton will be next because this development is the first domino and then they will be going for all the other sites in our lovely villages regards Graham |
