searching for an old friend.
could anyone help me in my search for an old friend? his name is geoffrey garner he married a sutton girl pauline peat in 1963 and they lived in either hazel grove or hazel grove rd. pauline worked at woodrows and geoff at landis lund .around 1965/66 they left sutton and moved to market weighton(east yorks) where geoff originated from.i was best man at their wedding .i believe they later divorced.pauline had an elder brother named michael who worked at landis lund and lived in sutton .she also had a friend named kathleen mciver who lived in sutton .i would be most gratefull if anyone could help me. leonard green. |

Whilst I do not know the whereabouts of your friend, I can confirm that Michael Peat is still in Sutton. I was talking to him last Sunday. No doubt someone living in the village wiill know where he is. I have checked the telephone directory but he does not figure. Best of luck, if I find anything I will come back to you. |

I used to work "for" him at Landis Lunds. Have asked his son-in-law to direct him to this site, and do bump into him now and again. Pauline lives in Preston. Sutton webmaster may give you my ref. if okay.
