July issue "Down Your Way" Magazine
Would like to point out a good Sutton/Cowling related photo page 57 of the July issue "Down Your Way " magazine. Ezra Laycock's first bus 1905 outside Kings Arms Sutton in 1910. Sent in by Mrs. Winifred Bates, of Sandy, Bedfordshire, who says "Does this picture/information trigger anyone's memory?" Joe Sutcliffe was the landlord of the King's Arms and ran a self-help club to help local workers if they were off sick, so maybe this photo is of members on a day's outing?
