Denis Marshall Pickles Norfolk Monday, April 29, 2019 09:35	Footpath to the Big Rock in Ravestones Wood Forgive me if i’m going over old ground but I have a feeling that I have asked this question before but I cannot trace it. Years ago, there used to be a footpath through a disused quarry, through the Ravenstones wood and on to the Big Rock where one had marvellous views over the village and down the Aire valley towards Skipton and beyond. Some years ago access to this vantage point was denied - the gate to the quarry was close. Presumably the footpath was not a public right of way. It would be interesting to know when and how this came about.
