Appeal for Cuddly Toys and other items
Hello Neighbours. My wife and I are currently organising an evening of musical entertainment for the children at the Beechcliffe Special School in Keighley and are once again collecting any good clean cuddly toys. If you have a few which your children (or you!) have outgrown would you please think about donating them? Anything else lingering at the back of your cupboards that might make a good raffle or tombola prize would also be very much appreciated. It all helps!
They will be used to raise funds for the school which caters for children with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities, many from South Craven area. The toys are mainly bought by the families of our children so you can be assured they will be much loved and appreciated. We can collect by arrangement from you over the next week, inc weekends and evenings if preferred. You can of course drop them off if you like to our home at 6 Manse Way, or to the school if you are passing that way.
We do this every year and the evening is always a great success, the children love it and last year it helped us to raise enough to finally buy the replacement mini-bus they so badly needed. This time we are collecting for special sensory learning equipment. Thank you on behalf of the children.
Reg. Charity Number 1159857 Friends of Beechcliffe School. (We have already delivered appeal leaflets to a good many homes around Sutton, so apologies if you have been asked twice!) Many thanks for reading. Kind Regards, Dave and Gail |

I would just like to say a big thank-you to everyone who donated, we had a wonderful response, and on the night raised over £400 towards the target. A fabulous night was had by the children, smiles and laughter all round. Thank you again. |
