Looking for Angella Hiscoe
I've received the follwing enquiry, can anyone help?
Hello, I came across the Sutton in Craven village website while I am searching a friend back in around 1993. Just wondered if you and your village community can assist my search.
My name is Ayako Uchino(Ms), Japanese by origin and living in the UK/ London since 1999. I am looking for a friend Angella Hiscoe(Ms) who was living in the village, used to be my pen pal back in late 80 till early 90 when I was a secondly student in Japan. I visited her when I was 17, stay with ,her family during my summer holiday for a month, we had a such a wonderful time. We exchanged many letters often ( those days, no internet, email as you can imagine......) till when I was 20. I moved house few times after that time, lost her home address and also lost touch unfortunately.
I have been trying to look for her using media methods but not successful so far. May be she changed her surname after married, not sure. She is 39-40 years old now (same as me), no siblings only one child in her family, her mum was working for a local hospital in 90s. They had a big German shepherd dog.
Sorry for such an abrupt email and also my vague memory.
I would appriciate if any of your community members can help me to find her and family.
