Moving to Sutton
Dear People of Sutton,
Thank you for your helpful replies along with historical facts about the village.
Living in different parts of this country & abroad I find we always return to Yorkshire. Coming here to North Yorkshire at the age of 12 I realise I have spent 23 yrs in North & West Yorkshire and don?t want to live anywhere else.
Could anyone help me with regards to the now defunct pub
The Bay Horse Inn. I hear it was closed some years ago but noticed scaffolding up and we would like to know if it is to be resurrected as a pub and if not what? Be really for that information.

Hello Sutton - now of senior age and not walking as good - after 72 yrs. of living up here in Cowling - in the next few years hope to move down to your area mainly so that I can "walk to the doctors," shops, park, chemists, buses, village social life etc. etc. never even thought I would ever be saying this ...but being closer to amenities becomes v. important as you get older. |
