Christmas wishes from Australia.
May I wish all my contacts, friends, relatives and all Suttoners a very Merry Christmas from a hot 30-32C (expected) Melbourne, and a Happy New Year. Thanks Paul for your tireless work. We will be having a quiet one, as Daughter No 1 will be in Mexico at Christmas and New Year. |

Hi all, Well we have let the New Year in yours is not far away. All the best. By the way Christmas Day ended up with thunderstorms and hailstones the size of golf balls and some cases tennis balls which wrecked many a home and their Christmas. We were lucky our hailstones were only about a cm. but plenty of rain! |

Hello David, All the best for the new year to you and yours and ALL the other ex pats from Sutton. Your mention of large hailstones brings back memories. I remember it happening in Sutton, just when I cannot remember, maybe early 50's, but Mrs Whitham's verhanda was smashed and the stream which flowed through our field was a raging torrent causing a flood down the Old Dyke. Can you remember that? I hope that history does not repeat itself. Take care and keep contibuting. Alan. |

Hi Allan Not guilty M'lord! As a memory reviver, was the Old Dyke the little beck that flowed down through the allotments and came out under Ash Grove into Inghams field? Today being NYDay it is 36C, typical Melbourne and expected 40C tomorrow. |
