Would you send me the full size one of the Pinnacle with Cowling covered to see if I could make the Dec banner for Cowlingweb out of it ? Full credit would be give but I am sure by now you know that really goes without saying!

Paul, those photographs are truly beautiful, living 11,000 miles away, they certainly pull at the heart strings. Hope people take the time to look at these. |

No need to sneek in under cover, Both the towers are within the Sutton Parish boundary. We lent Wainmans tower to Cowling to give them something to look at.

Good on y'r sport,
Let's do a bit of stirring and get back to the "what we used to do at Christmas"
We always went to my Aunt Maggie's at Cowling on Xmas day (Goose) that was the Bracewell's and then Boxing day at Uncle Edward's (Aunt Annie's) for turkey and added the Conyer's to the group. The next day was at our house with the Bracewells and Laycocks for a tasty steak and kydney pudding. I remember my dad working onthat day. |

Look back through the Forum to 3/7/2007 to Bentroyd farm, Jo Wagner. You may find another Bracewell connection from the Liverpool Area. Her grandfather was a Bracewell from Sutton and a relative of David Laycock. The fog is lifting. |

Good to hear from you. As Alan said check with Joanne as she has researched the Bracewells pretty thoroughly. Most of them were from Trawden, as were a lot of Laycocks. Her Grandad is my cousin ( was in the police in Liverpool), and his father was Harold (my Mum's brother) and their father was Herbert. They lived at Bentroyed Farm. My aunt lived on a poultry farm owned by Snowdens?, Waymans lane? Get Alan to tell you a few stories! |

thanks for replying to my message. i just saw the bracewell and cowling bit and wrote what i did because of that
my father in law was originally from wycoller.
will ask my mother in law if he had anything to do with trawden ones and get back to you
