Sutton park centenary 1912 - 2012
Hi Paul, this may have been covered before. Is there any special event happening to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of the park on 20th July this year?
I’m assuming there will be, I’m just sorry I can’t be there to join in the celebration. |

Ah, thanks for that webmaster. I did check the events page prior to my post but only saw ‘Circuit Fitness Classes with Emma’. In my haste I failed to scroll down to the second half of the page!
The attractions & entertainment, food & competitions on the day look very inviting. We in Australia & elsewhere throughout the world are definitely going to miss out. Fingers crossed for a sunny day. I wonder if there are any centenarian’s in the world who remember the grand opening in 1912. I guess they would have to be at least 105, but it’s possible! |
