Boundary Avenue is like a river ,this is due to the storm drain keeping Glusburn from flooding not being large enough so the manhole covers are lifting,so thank's for sorting their problem out and giving us it. |

The excellent photos of the recent floods on the web site,reminded me of the 1947 floods the one showing the council school play-ground I saw the then head master Mr Walker carrying the pupils to school through the floods making sure that they got to their lessons where no doubt all the teachers were there waiting to carry on their vocation with the respect that they all had in those days. |

Allan, my brother Bruce Grime (in Sydney) an I were talking about that particular occasion the other day after we had been looking at photos of the floods. Gosh we had good teachers then, especially my favourite, Miss Wilson. |
