The nest
I'm trying to find out some info on a house called 'the nest', Tetley PLace, Sutton.
Apparently my great great grandmother lived there before she died in 1914, she was called Sarah Thompson married to Greenwood Thompson.
Does anyone have any info which could be useful?

Posted this a long time ago but really would like to know if Tetley place still exists and if there was a house called 'The nest' |

Hi Caroline. I've not heard of Tetley Place, or a house called 'the nest'. Old maps dated between 1850 and 1893 show a Tetley Row at the bottom of Main Street, just above Wilson Street. The houses are no longer there.
