Postcards sent to Sutton residents in the early 1900s With thanks to Andrew Monkhouse for these inbound postcards from 1908, 1903 and 1902.We'll never know what was on the postcard that Miss Greenwood sent.
The 1901 census shows the Smith family living at 29 Main St, Sutton Mill with five year old (six in 1902) Arthur Brian Smith being the only family
member it could have been - unless he was away on the night of the census. I do believe this postcard to be the oldest postmarked card in the gallery. |
