"Here is a picture of the 'village' helping Leonard Thompson hay make, that is before automation. The field is on Holme Lane and I think is the one between the Woodturners and Thompson's farm, Leonard is stood on the top of the hay cart. The girl in front is my sister Christine Barsby, the boy with the fork I think is Phillip Boocock. I am the nipper sat on someone's knee driving the tractor (that makes it around 1957/58), not sure who the other three* are, used to be quite an annual event at one time."
