I think this must have taken place in the Mill yard at Hayfield Mills in 1937. On behalf of the employees, my maternal grandfather, Marshall Preston, presented the Horsfall twins with silver Smoking Cabinets to mark their 21st Birthday. Wonder who decided that was appropriate? Why 1937? Well, grandad started work at Hayfield Mill in January 1879 and it says in the write-up that he had worked there for 58 years!
