Sutton Park in the 1930s

Chris Barsby sent this old picture postcard of the park, complete with cannon!
Note the mis-typed caption - PARK LANE should be PARK LAKE.

Denis Pickles dated the photo to the 1930s, noting that the cannon
was taken away to be melted down for the war effort in 1940/41.
